Typical services provided include case management, counseling/therapy, individual skills training, medication training, crisis intervention, linkage to community resources, advocacy, assessment, and treatment planning.

The Latino Services Coordinator has the overall responsibility for coordinating Latino services across the organization. He/she will run regularly scheduled support/training meetings for bilingual employees, provide coaching and mentoring to bilingual employees and their Supervisors across teams/programs, make recommendations on enhancing Latino services across the agency, and advocate for Latino services locally and statewide. The Latino Services Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical services in Spanish to clients across all levels of care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services (i.e. psychotherapy, skill building, case management, community support, etc.) in Spanish to clients across all levels of care.
• Complete intakes and assessments for clients to ensure linkage to appropriate services
• Provide psychotherapy and family psychoeducation to clients in the HOPE First program.
• Train new employees to provide quality bilingual Spanish services to clients. Ensure continued education and training for bilingual Spanish employees to strengthen services provided.
• Facilitate consultation group for bilingual Spanish employees. Identify employee training opportunities and assist in facilitating employee improvement.
• Provide clinical supervision in Spanish to any direct reports. As requested, provide consultation to bilingual Spanish employees.
• Provide coaching to Supervisors of bilingual staff to improve the quality of supervision and performance across teams and programs.
• Assist in the interview and hiring process for bilingual Spanish employees across the organization.
• Provide strengths-based, client-centered, recovery focused and trauma-informed services to adults with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse disorders presenting for services
• Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned

This position requires a minimum of ONE of the following:

• LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with a valid Illinois License
• LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) with a valid Illinois License

Other Requirements include:

• Valid IL Driver’s License
• Daily access to a well maintained vehicle with 100,000/300,000 liability insurance
• Minimum two years’ experience working with people with mental health issues and/or substance abuse diagnoses
• Bilingual and fluent in Spanish required
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
