Typical services provided include case management, counseling/therapy, individual skills training, medication training, crisis intervention, linkage to community resources, advocacy, assessment, and treatment planning.



The Grant Writer & Donor Relations Associate will manage the entire grant process from pre-to-post award (i.e. grant research, grant writing, and grant submission). He/she will track grant spending and ensure grant dollars are used appropriately. The Grant Writer & Donor Relations Associate will work with different departments to ensure information and data is gathered for grant reporting. He/she will be involved with all major aspects of development and will assist with departmental projects and initiatives such as online giving, campaigns, donor cultivation, special event, and other opportunities for donor engagement.



  • Maintain relationships with external grant managers and program officers of funding bodies, ensuring Trilogy’s compliance with grant requirements.
  • Coordinate the implementation of grant awards and ensures post-award compliance.
  • Research new funding opportunities, and communicate with potential funding sources.
  • Write grants to city, state, and federal governmental organizations and private foundations on behalf of Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare Inc.
  • Work with departments to create budgets and forecasts related to the grant.
  • Manage grants ensuring the terms of the contract are met, funds are not overspent, and that appropriate expenses are placed on the funds in a timely matter.
  • Research and identify prospective foundation funders, major donors, and corporate sponsors; follow fundraising-related news, research trends, and best practices.
  • With support from CCDO, draft donor correspondence including solicitation and acknowledgement letters as needed, and manage the timely acknowledgement of all contributions.
  • Compile letters, informational packets, and related material in response to donor inquiries.
  • Manage record-keeping on programmatic activities and achievements for use in reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintain database to increase fundraising capacity and ensure integrity of the data.
  • Monitor and update donor information in the fundraising database.
  • Ensure donor records are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare a variety of reports, including contact and giving history and prospect clearance status using constituency information database.
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant writing and/or fundraising
  • Clear understanding of individual giving strategies, tools and resources.
  • Knowledge and ability to write proposals and applications. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in non-profit fundraising, knowledge of budgeting, grant tracking, and reporting procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and compile reports and correspondence; comprehend and make inferences from written material; review the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards; communicate orally and in writing with customers, clients, or the public; work effectively with a variety of staff, other governmental representatives, and the public.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
